"Dear students,

Thank you again for today's discussion and all your questions. As discussed, I would like to return to the subject of the minimum wage and the numbers being discussed. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the original source I mentioned. However, I was able to find the numbers in other sources on the poverty resistance of the minimum wage: According to the EU Minimum Wage Directive, the minimum wage should be 60 per cent of the so-called median wage. In 2025, that would be €15.12. However, as discussed, the minimum wage is currently only €12.82.
