Modern overview of Various effective field theories: from quantum electrodynamics to chiral Perturbation theory and beyond

This course will focus on a fundamental introduction to the underlying principles of any quantum field theory/ effective field theory. After this their application to the fundamental forces resulting in well known theories such as QED, QCD and in the case of EFTs ChPT, will be discussed. Additional topics regarding the mathematical construction, such as gauge and group theory as well as renormalisation and regularisation will be covered in the process.
