The seminar will be a platform to discuss recent developments in electron microscopy. Either techniques that are being developed at the Institute of Solid State Physics are being discussed or selected topics (e.g. momentum resolved, high energy resolution or ultrafast microscopy) are being prepared by the students. The students will be assisted by expert advisors on how to perform literature research, to prepare the content for a presentation and how to present content to an audience. The active engagement in the seminar series by following other presentations and discussions will provide the students with a broad overview in current technique development in electron microscopy and equip them with presentation and discussion skills.
