This seminar project course gives students who have already followed a course in Energy Economics (achieveing at least 2,7) the opportunity to explore an area in more detail. The workload represents 4 weeks and the course is worth 5 CP / 2 SWS. The introductory session is at 14.00 pm on Monday 14.04.2025 in room GD 03/148. If you would like to take part but cannot come to that meeting please let me know.
Whilst students are welcome to suggest topics of their own, they can also choose one from the following list:
1. Electricity - role and in different end-user sectors in four selected countries
2. Heat-pumps – costs, incentives, CO2-reduction, and roll-out rates in Germany (or other country)
3. Electric cars – costs, incentives, CO2-reduction, and roll-out rates in Germany (or other country)
4. Renewables auctions and build-out rates 2018-2024 in Germany
5. Carbon pricing in Germany (or other country) – role and impact
6. Comparison of emission reduction efforts in selected EU countries, or EU and other continents
