Welcome to the Moodle course for the lecture Thermodynamics of Mixtures. In this course, different approaches for the determination of thermodynamic properties of pure substances and mixtures are first repeated and deepened. Subsequently, models used for the calculation of properties of complex fluid mixtures and phase equilibria are taught. By the end of this course, you will have a comprehensive overview of which thermodynamic data and models are commonly used in applications and how to evaluate them. In addition, you will gain the necessary knowledge that is important for the design and evaluation of numerous industrial processes, such as biodiesel refineries or natural gas liquefaction plants.
