
Cybercrime is a real-world example of exploiting software and systems with the goal to gain personal advantages. Incident response measures attempt to act against cybercrime and involve different techniques that can be applied to identify actors and the consequences of criminal activity. In this course, we learn about the current state of cybercrime in Germany. As part of this, we look at the development of cybercrime throughout the last years and what impact it has on the society. We further investigate real-world incidents of the past, look at different options for prevention, and learn more about the incident response procedure that currently exist.
