Goal of this class is to be able to discuss how soils and urban ecosystems and how they are linked both in the past and in the present. We will deal with current and emerging problems for urban soils and critically evaluate remediation options.
We will strive to recognize soils as essential resources for a sustainable urban population based on a sound understanding of the physical and chemical properties of soil.
