Research Seminar: Theory, Text and Object - Doing the History of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, 500-1900 (210043-SoSe2024)

This course is intended for Academic Track MA students, and it will introduce them to the theories and methods of the History of Christianity, Judaism and Islam from approximately the 7^th century to the 19^th.   The course also serves as preparation for writing an MA Thesis. Weeks will vary between theoretical readings and methodological assignments, which students will relate to a major religious text of their choice.  The course will take place over two semesters.   A decision on admission is made in the first session
