East Asia and the EU as Partners in Global Economic Governance (OpenRUB)

Prof. Reuben Wong occupies a position as Associate Professor at the Political Science Department of National University of Singapore (NUS, http://www.nus.edu.sg). He is director of Studies at the college of Alice and Peter Tan (CAPT) and held the Jean Monnet Chair in European Integration and Foreign Policy from 2013 to 2016. 

His field of research entails topics such as International Relations, Regional Organisation, Foreign Policy and EU-Asia Relations. His presentation focuses on "Environmental Governance: the SE Asian experience".

Dr. Ulrike Solmecke worked as a research associate at the department for International Political Economy of East Asia at the faculty of East Asian Studies at Ruhr-University Bochum. 

Her research and lectures focused on global transformation to sustainability, Asia's role in the international discourse on sustainability and sustainable development as an issue of security policy. Her presentation deals with the gaps in global governance regarding the global economy and climate change. 

Xiaorui Wang has acquired an Accounting Scholarship as Doctoral Student in Development Economics and Organizational Studies at Paris Dauphine University, France. 

Her fields of expertise include Financial Statement Analysis, Managerial and Environmental Accounting and Corporate Social Responsibility. Her presentation concerns the topic "The national ecological accounting and auditing scheme (NEAAS) as an instrument of institutional reform in China: A discourse analysis".
