      Prof. Dr. Jörn-Carsten Gottwald is head of the department of East Asian Politics at the Faculty of East Asian Studies at Ruhr-Universität Bochum (https://www.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/poa/en/index.shtml). Prof. Gottwald is also a member of the Advisory Board at MERICS (Mercator Institute for China Studies).

      His area of expertise includes Comparative Political Economy in Europe and Asia, Politics of Regulation of Financial Services in Europe and China as well as the Relations between the European Union and China. His presentation deals with the topic "From Hangzhou to Hamburg: No New Partnership in Global Financial Governance".

      Prof. Zhao Jianzhi is assistant professor in Economic Policy at the School of International Relations and Public Affairs (SIRPA) at Fudan University, Shanghai, China (http://www.sirpa-en.fudan.edu.cn/main.htm).

      His research interests include International Political Economy, Public and Development Economics and Finance. He has been occupied as consultant for multiple international organizations, including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and Inter-American Development Bank. His presentation deals with the topic of "International Institutional Reform: From Infrastructural Investment Perspective".
