• "Buffet statt Einheitsbrei –
      new ways of individualized learning"

      34nd round - Sommersemester 2024

    • Tastes are different - and so is learning. It is no coincidence that "variatio delectat" was already a popular saying in ancient times. Imagine learning as a colorful buffet: diverse, balanced and tailored to various needs.

Digital elements and e-learning tools open up new ways to make learning more individualized and flexible. Let’s move away from one-size-fits-all (“Einheitsbrei”) and towards a vibrant buffet!

Here is some inspiration for what this could look like in your course:

      • Design learning paths characterized by different interactive and multimedia elements and tailored to the individual needs and abilities of learners. Students can absorb content in different ways, depending on what suits their learning style. From texts, podcasts, animated videos and exciting quizzes to challenging learning games - your concept can enable everyone to learn according to their own strengths.
      • Integrate game elements such as points, levels and badges to make the learning process not only more effective but also more exciting. Motivate learners to set and achieve their own goals.
      • The ability to learn anytime and anywhere also aligns with the flexibility of a "learning buffet". Students can partially organize their own learning times and learn at their own pace.
      • Create spaces for exchange and collaboration. Your approach should allow students to learn from each other and grow together.

Do you have an interesting project idea that you would like to implement? Submit your concept to our 5x5000 e-learning competition in the 5x5000 Moodle course by August 12, 2024. Convince the student jury and win 5,000 euros for the implementation of your idea.

We look forward to your submission!

      Your 5x5000 team
