Welcome to the landing page for this semester's Master-Startup!
The Master-Startup is designed to help students in the ETIT Faculty ease into their Master's program, provide an overview of the faculty and the university in general, and create a space for students to network with one another.
The program is structured around two block days before the start of the semester and five sessions during the semester.
The block days will take place on October 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in ID 04/401. After a brief round of introductions, Ruhr University and its various opportunities will be presented. In addition, various working groups and organizations from the university and the faculty will introduce themselves, including the Student Council, the VDE and IEEE SIGHT groups, RUB Motorsport, and the Electronic Workshop. Joint lunch breaks and two department tours are also planned, during which the facilities and current research topics of the working groups will be presented.
In addition to the block days, there will be five shorter individual sessions during the lecture period. These will take place on October 21, November 4, November 18, December 2, and January 27 from approximately 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m; only the event on October 21 is expected to be held in the evening. Further details regarding the venue and program for these sessions will follow.
Further information about the Master-Startup program and the individual sessions will be shared via the Moodle course; the password for the course will be announced on the first session.
To earn 1 CP at the end of the course, attendance at both block days and at least four of the five sessions during the semester is mandatory.
