Python, Spyder and Gurobi
This section deals with setting up a working environment with which the case study can be processed. Students who have already attended the lecture Production and Logistics at the Chair of Operations Management at RWTH Aachen University and have done the corresponding exercise can skip the entire section.
We recommend the following software:
Anaconda (manager for Python environments).
Python 3.X (programming language)
Spyder (IDE for Python)
Gurobi (MILP solver)
You will need the following python packages installed: https://geopandas.org/en/stable/index.html, https://pandas.pydata.org/ and https://matplotlib.org/.
It is important not to use Python 2.X versions. The programme code presented may not work. Installing Anaconda will make it easier for you to set up Python and Spyder.
