1. For both Williams and Geuss, moralism is a theory that makes “the moral prior to the political” or that takes politics to be “a kind of applied ethics,” in the sense that “morality offers constraints on what politics can rightfully do” or insofar as moral values or ideals provide the sole or principal guide for political action. Seems like Angela Merkel is following this theory in regard to the refugee crisis, is she a politician that advocates moralism? 

2. Based on the theory of realist legitimacy, what rights do the people have if their regime fails to act in a manner consistent with citizens’ beliefs, values, principles or norms?
