1) One could reasonably maintain that maybe Rawls burdens the notion of pure procedural justice with too much weight in developing his theory. Doesn´t Schmidtz´ argument nevertheless prove too much? In particular, my question refers to p.96-97 of his article where he criticizes the circularity of the above procedure.If successful, his position practically means that 400 years of Anglo-American philosophy has been so far misguided and yet it has produced results that generally seem agreeable.
2) Could we discuss the utility of decoupling legitimacy from justification in light of Copp´s article? More spefically, I dont seem to be able to put any coherent framing of the general idea of his proposal.
