1) Rawls suggests the aim of a well-ordered society, or one in a state of near justice, is to preserve and strengthen the institutions of justice - how do we define a well-ordered society, can justice be a key indicator of a ideal society? 


2) Our problem is to relate the just political principles regulating the conduct of states to the contract doctrine and to explain the moral basis of the law of nations from this point of view - does law of nations really always have a moral basis?
