In this seminar, we will explore the development,
workings, and problems of Japan's system of social welfare policies and
programs, which are designed to support its citizens. Specifically, we
will analyze the origin of healthcare, pension, and long-term care
systems in Japan to discuss the challenges they currently face in
Japan's rapidly ageing society.
