Materials Informatics (440518-WiSe22/23)

The seminar aims to be a discussion forum around the emerging field of 'Material Informatics' for Master level and PhD students. It consists of a series of presentations followed by discussion.

The first presentation will be given by the lecturer and the following presentations are given by the students. Presentations will tackle current articles in the scientific literature which try to define 'Materials Informatics'.

Each week one article is read, presented, and discussed. Students will write a short review about the article. A presentation about the idea of the article will be given by one student based on written reviews by all.

The topic is presented, and the presenting student will lead the discussion with support by the teacher. In the discussions we will evaluate the attempt on defining Materials Informatics and identify open questions.
