Die Vorlesung behandelt die Korrosion der Metalle sowie damit verbundene oberflächentechnische Aspekte und Korrosionsschutzmaßnahmen.
Sie gibt einen Einblick in die Oberflächenwissenschaften und in die Elektrochemie. Außerdem werden thermodynamische sowie kinetische Aspekte der Korrosion erläutert und typische Korrosionsprobleme vorgestellt sowie mögliche Gegenmaßnahmen aufgezeigt. Abschließend wird auf oberflächentechnische Maßnahmen zum Korrosionsschutz eingegangen.

The lecture deals with the corrosion of the metals, the related surface technical aspects and corrosion protective measures.
It gives an insight into the surface sciences and in electrochemistry. Furthermore thermodynamik and kinetic aspects of corrosion are explained as well as typical corrosion problems are presented and possible countermeasures are shown. Finally, surface protection measures for corrosion will be discussed.
