Welcome to "Onboarding - Kickstart Your Academic Journey"

Dear students, 

We are really happy to welcome you at Ruhr-University Bochum for the winter semester 2026/27! We hope you will have a great time studying at RUB, connecting to your fellow students and getting in touch with your lecturers. To make it easier for you to start your studies, we are offering this onboarding module to prepare you for your studies. All documents and information you need can be found here in this Moodle course. 

You register for this module by

1. joining this Moodle course and
2. completing the questionnaire.

It is really important that you complete the QUESTIONNAIRE which you can find below! If you do not answer the questions, we will not be able to take your registration into account and your registration will be cancelled. 

Please make sure to check back here regularly for the latest links and materials. The course content is regularly expanded and updated!

Important: 

• You have to attend at least 75% of the sessions and to pass the weekly Multiple Choice test in Moodle to receive a certificate by RUBiss which equals 2,5 CP. 
• You also have to attend at least 75% of one of the language courses and pass the final test to earn another 2,5 CP for the language part. 
• 5 CP is the maximum number of CP you can receive in total. 
• If you want to earn credit points for your study programme - you have to contact your coordinator directly in advance!
