The students recognize the advanced programming techniques that are relevant for materials science. They can classify different programming languages and are able to generate computer code
for compiled languages to solve basic mathematical and physical problems. They use tools that facilitate code development and employ best programming practices. The students apply these concepts
to create advanced algorithms that solve complex problems in materials science
