Metalloenzymes play a vital role for life on earth. This course introduces the different types of metalloenzymes, organized by metal, with their properties, structures and function. At the beginning, an introduction to coordination chemistry and some basic biology is provided, as well as an overview of metal ion uptake and homeostasis.
