In this module, methods in energy system analysis and energy economics are linked to current energy policy issues. Students will independently address specific research questions and report their findings within a term paper. The papers will be presented in the seminar and defended in a subsequent discussion with all peers in class.
Learning Outcomes
Students shall become familiar with current topics in energy system analysis and energy economics and learn how to conduct scientific research. Students will learn how to address specific research questions by applying different scientific methods, such as literature reviews, energy system modelling or empirical analyses. They will learn how to present their insights within a term paper and an oral presentation.
