This lecture is for complete beginners, but also for students with some programming experience. You will learn to use programming with the language Python for your everyday science business starting from file manipulation, data analysis and fitting to advanced techniques. All is based on "get your hands dirty" exercises (with some challenges for the more experienced). Python is nowadays THE programming language for scientific programming and you will find a lot of areas where it helps you to simplify your work.
