The seminar sessions will be devoted to the study of the following salient issues:

(i)                 Post WWII economic growth trajectories and growth models of South Korea in a comparative setting  (comparison with Japan and China);

(ii)              Economic growth, crises and structural change;  a comparative analysis of the different crises in the 3 East-Asian economies (1997 Asian Financial Crisis; 2008 Global Financial Crisis, Health crisis; energy shock);

(iii)            Policy response to economic shocks, resilience and reforms; sustainability and global governance issues.

The students will be asked to write an essay and some of the sessions will thus be devoted to presentations. There is no exam at the end of this seminar.
