This course is an introduction to space physics. We will review the basics of plasma physics which are needed to understand the behavior of  plasmas in the near heliosphere. Then, we will study different plasma environments: Sun, solar wind, terrestrial magnetosphere, magnetospheres of outer planets.

We will use several resources available in the space physics community, including public spacecraft observations and on demand simulation runs.

At the end of the course, you will have a clear understanding of heliospheric physics and of space plasma modeling in different regimes. You will be familiar with the open questions in the field and with the missions that have been launched during the years to address them.
