This seminar addresses current topics in the context of privacy enhancing technologies and anonymity. The seminar combines current research with realistic problem statements. Examples of this are the Tor anonymity system, mix networks, or privacy consent management.
The structure of the seminar is as follows:
In the first month, we provide an overview of fundamentals on relevant PETs and anonymity systems. Every student is assigned 1-3 current scientific publications in the beginning of the seminar, after the introduction lectures students continue to present their papers in the weekly readying groups.
