Applications of lasers for analytics and metrology are discussed. The students learn different laser measurement principles, which can be used to measure physical, mechanical or chemical properties. Application of lasers for measurement of distances, velocities, size distributions of nanoparticles, chemical composition, temperature, physical fundamental constants and detection of viruses will be discussed.
